The 3rd Graduation Day of Yemhi Memorial College was held on 12th June, 2018 at the College Conference Hall with Rev. Fr. Shibu Varghese, Principal, MGM College, Dimapur as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the students he said that education is the most powerful weapon to change the world and so students should strive hard and receive quality education to become responsible citizens of the world. He also urged upon the students to always uphold the values of life and learn to enhance knowledge.
The Programme was chaired by Ms. Philatim Jagoi, Asst Prof. Department of English. Mr Makhan Chetia, Principal, delivered the welcome address and Mr. Joshua Sumi, Chairman, Managing Board spoke on behalf of the Management. The other highlights of the programme included special song by Evangelical Union, conferring of certificates and awards, sentiments from the best graduate and vote of thanks by Mr. Paunamheing Perang, Asst. Prof. Department of Sociology.
Altogether 35 students graduated from the college. Mr. Wijongwangbo was conferred the Best Graduate Award (Arts) and Mr. Lanusashi Molier as the Best Graduate (commerce). Distinction holders were also felicitated. Certificates and cash awards were given to the successful students. The programme ended with a dedicatory prayer for the graduates by the Chief Guest.
