REPORT ON 10TH ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2023

Yemhi Memorial College celebrated its 10th Annual College Sports Meet, 2023 on 17th-20th Feb, 2023, under the theme “Veni, Vidi, Vici” ‘I Came, I Saw, I Conquered’.
The Inaugural Programme was chaired by Mr Akiyeto B. Yeptho, Vice President YMCSC. Angukato K Zhimo President YMCSC in his welcome address encouraged the students to uphold team spirit, ethical values and youth through the spirit of games and sports. Dr. Kaba Daniel, principal YMC, urged on the importance of Physical and mental fitness and lay emphasis on the need to imbibe physical activities of sports for sound mind and body. He also reminded the students the qualities of sportsmanship, commitment to play fair, to show ethical behaviour and integrity and general goodwill towards an opponent.
The highlights of the three days college sports were indoor and outdoor games of football, volleyball, tug of war, track and field games, carrom, badminton, relay and obstacle race.
Amidst great enthusiasm and camaraderie, the Falcon team was declared the winning team, the closing programme was marked by awarding of certificates, medals and prize distribution, recreational activities and potluck. The programme came to an end with the words of gratitude from the Asst. Sports Secy YMCSC Ms. Suhukali Sumi.
