IQAC Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur, conducted a One day Seminar for College teachers on “ICT & Digitalization in Higher Education” on 19th May, 2018 at the College Conference Hall. Mr Rupanka Bhuyan Asst. Prof. & Academic Co-ordinator, Department of IT Mathematics & Management Studies ICFAI University Nagaland was the Resource Person.
The programme started at 10:00 A.M chaired by Mr. Toyeto Chishi, Co-ordinator IQAC Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur. Principal of Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur Mr. Makhan Chetia introduced the Resource Person and read out a brief profile of his vast contribution to the IT world.
The Resource Person began the first Session with a lecture on the basic Concept, advantages, and cases of digitalization using power point presentation. After a short break, the second session resumed at 12:45 P.M with Question hour followed by lecture on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) which emphasized on the benefits of ICT as an effective tool in classroom teaching as well as its disadvantages.
The Resource Person also gave Practical demonstration on how to prepare simple slide for power point presentation. Certificate of Participation was given to all the Staff who attended the Seminar along with the Principal.
The Seminar concluded with IQAC team member YMC, Miss Temsunaro Imchen. Asst. professor Department of Economics delivering the vote of thanks.
