Yemhi Memorial College Dimapur commemorates National Productivity Day 2025
In commemoration of National Productivity Day 2025, a seminar on “Enhancing Productivity Through Skills” was held at Yemhi Memorial College Dimapur on 20th February 2025, with Ms. Yangerjungla Ao, Head Operations and HR Pinnacle Skills as the resource person. The event, organized by the Department of Economics was aimed to highlight the importance of skill development in improving efficiency and performance in various fields.
The seminar began with a keynote address by Ms. Temsunaro Imchen, HOD Economics, who emphasized the role of continuous learning and upskilling in today’s competitive world. She highlighted how technical and soft skills contribute to higher productivity and professional growth.
The Speaker, a renowned expert in Skill Development, delivered an insightful address on how technical and soft skills contribute to productivity. She highlighted that Skill development is the key to efficiency and career growth and that those who continuously upgrade their skills stay ahead in their fields. She also emphasized on the need to cultivate productivity skills that boost performance adding that such skills are crucial for professional and personal growth.
The speaker encouraged the student to be productive to progress in life by cultivating the habits of effective time management, being organized, polish their problem solving skills, learning how to prioritize, decision making skills, communication and interpretation skills etc., adding that these aspects plays a pivotal role in an individual’s life.
The seminar was a highly insightful event, providing valuable knowledge on how skill enhancement contributes to increased productivity. Participants gained practical tips and strategies to implement in their personal and professional lives.
It may be mentioned that National Productivity Day is celebrated on February 12th every year to increase awareness about the importance of productivity, innovation, and efficiency in India.
